removeParametersFromName

public static String removeParametersFromName(String filename)

Given a filename with (mostly) standard parameters it will remove the parameters and return only the file name

Parameters:

filename - the input file name

Returns:

the file name without parameters TODO: this method is very naive. We need a better implementation

getFilename

public static String getFilename(URI uri)
                          throws MalformedURLException

Gets the file name of a given URI

Parameters:

uri - the input URI object

Returns:

the file name part of the URI

Throws:

MalformedURLException - if the URI is invalid or null

getFilename

public static String getFilename(String uri)
                          throws MalformedURLException,
                                 URISyntaxException

Parameters:

uri - the input URI

Returns:

the file name part of the URI

Throws:

URISyntaxException - if the syntax is invalid
